Wade Raper

RAPER, Mr. Wade Douglas, 87, of Richmond, died Friday, October 29, 2010 at his residence. He was a retired signal circuit engineer for CSX Railroad, where he worked for 43 years. Mr. Raper is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gene Seymour Raper; two sons, Kenneth and Dale; three daughters-in-law, Karen, Jodie and Andrea; and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Wade. A graveside funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 4 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery, South Hill, with visitation from 3 p.m. until the hour of service.
