Wade Evan Voiss, 60, of McFarland passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at SSM Health – St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison surrounded by his loving daughters.
Wade “Chipper” was born on December 2, 1964 in Madison to Alan and Mary Lou (Bushee) Voiss. Throughout his early years, he worked in manufacturing/welding in the Madison area, most recently employed at River Bay Premier Camping Resort as maintenance.
He enjoyed participating in demolition derbies, snowmobiling, riding his motorcycle and fishing. He loved classic rock and spending time with his children doing all sorts of activities. As he got older, one of his hobbies was collecting wheat pennies. During his free time, he liked to hit the slot machines. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
Wade truly had the biggest heart and loved nothing more than helping people whenever he could.
Wade is survived by his daughters, April (Cody) Swenson-Voiss, Stephanie (Keenan) Swenson-Voiss; grandchildren, Tyler, Brinley, Hudson, KJ and Scottlyn; siblings, Dewy (Diane), Kurt (Vicki), and Dale; nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alan and Mary Lou Voiss; son, Wade “Goomie” Swenson-Voiss; siblings, Loren, Terry, Danny, Julie and Dori.
A memorial service will take place at 1PM on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Cress Funeral Service, 5801 Highway 51, McFarland, WI 53558. A visitation will take place from 11AM until the time of service. In addition, a luncheon will be held at the American Legion Hall, 4911 Burma Rd. McFarland, WI 53558 directly after service from 2PM to 5PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to assist with arranging services.
