Wade Whitaker

Wade Allen Whitaker, 23, of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, in Little Rock. The son of Carl Whitaker, II and Jessica Jones, he was born May 29, 2002, in Clarksville, Arkansas.

Wade worked as a diesel technician with M6 Diesel. He was known as a devoted father who loved his children deeply. Wade enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid outdoorsman who appreciated the simple joys of being outside.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, David Branch; stepfather, Michael Carter; and his great-grandfather, Joel D. Via.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Jessica and Daniel Jones of Russellville; his children, Ezzy Reed, Remington Wayne Whitaker, Lyla Reed, Oakley Ren Whitaker, Allie Rose Whitaker, Eden Claire Whitaker, and David Allen Whitaker; his grandparents, Donna and Terry Slavens of Witts Spring and Dinah Horne of Georgia; his brother, Jonathan Whitaker of Fort Cavazos, Texas; his sisters, Kama Whitaker of Russellville and Donna Carter of Hector; his wife, Raylin Shoemaker of Russellville; and his great-grandmother, Gracie Via and husband Pete of Russellville.

Funeral service date and time will be announced. Jeremy Mathis will officiate. Burial will be at Brock Cemetery in Victor, Arkansas, under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be Virgil Apple, Jonathan Bethel, Jesse Branch, Dawson Branch, Jake Sharp, and Jacob Honeycutt. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Jones, Terry Slavens, and David Branch.
