I meet him when I was just a little boy. My best friend is his son Deuce. It wasn't until late that I realized how much he taught me of the life I live today. Because of this and much more it is my honor and with the up most respect to say that if it weren't for him I would not be the man I am today. He might as well have been my dad. Never for got but always missed.

When we were involved in youth baseball, Wade was always one of my favorite umpires. He called a fair game, he was good to the kids, and he made it fun, as it should be. A classy guy with a great sense of humor. He'll be missed.

I never called him by his given name, only "Wood-Eye", He was a true friend as was the entire family. I will cherish my memories, the fun and laughter we shared over the years. Even after our years at McKinney PD ended and we went in different directions and didn't see each other as much, Our friendship seemed as it did in years past. To the other members of of the "Wood-Eye" family be re-assured that God has a position for "Wood-Eye" and he will fill that role very well. Although he will no longer be among you in an earthly sense, his life will remain among us all as a reminder of what a true friend, son, brother, father and Husband he was. My prayers are with each of you and always remember even through the pain God is with you "Always". In his Death may there be as many Blessing's as there was in his Life. May God Bless the "Wood-Eye" Woolverton Family
