Walid Habib, 67 of Longwood, Florida passed away to be with the
Lord on Wednesday November 5th, 2025.
Born on April 10th of 1958 in Damascus, Syria to Mary Bouz of the
Maronite Catholic faith and Abdallah Habib of the Christian
Orthodox faith.
The fourth of six children, Walid finished high school and 2 years
of college and worked for years in Saudi Arabia as a general
manager for a food distribution company of 600 employees. He
quit his job in 1987 to take care of his sick father. He spoke Arabic,
English and French, and moved to the United States in 1990 to live
with his brother Amid. He became a US citizen in 1995.
Walid is survived by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. The brothers are
Amid, retired medical doctor, Mufid, retired airline pilot, Majid,
retired hotel manager. Majid has 3 children, Daniel, David and
Shaun. The sisters are Lily and Layla. Layla has 4 children
(Mousa, Youlla, Rolla and Boushra) and 3 grandchildren (Hosam,
Salim and Nour).
A funeral mass will be held at the Annunciation Catholic Church,
located at 1020 Montgomery Rd, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714 on
Friday November 14th, 2025 at 10:00AM.
