Walker Michael Beckman
1/13/1983 (42 yrs old)
Born in Klamath Falls, Oregon
Walker is survived by his dear wife Abigail Joy (Gilbert) Beckman and their three children, Milo, 14, Ronin, 12, and Willow, 10 who were born of their marriage in 2009.
Walker is father to his oldest son, Sawyer Michael Beckman, 19, who was born from his marriage to Jeanie (Bergamo/Beckman) Kohl.
Walker is survived by his mother Nola Jane Smith-Beckman and step-father Glenn Smith and was preceded in death by his father Monte Dale Beckman (2017).
Walker grew up in the Portland Oregon area and Vancouver Washington with a primary interest in music, especially drums beginning with his first set at age 11. Walker's performances, awards and accomplishments in high school music ensembles and band percussion earned him a full music scholarship to Mt Hood Community College. Over the years he earned a reputation in bands and studio work in the wider Portland area.
As an adult, Walker lived in Silverdale and Portland, Oregon, then in Vancouver Wa, and in Elsie Oregon for 16 years until recently moving with his family to Willis, Texas where he passed on Nov 11, 2025.
Walker always enjoyed working with his hands and often helped repair vehicles for friends and neighbors. He was also known to serve and befriend those from all walks of life.
His mom recalls coming home from work concerned about her broken washer with five sons needing laundry, only to find her youngest Walker, age 12, with the appliance flipped over and his exclaiming he found the broken part for her to replace!
Walker is a brother to four others; Jared Beckman (b. 1970, deceased 2014), Dale Beckman, 54 (Enterprise, Or.); Levi Beckman, 48 (Hood River, Or.); Isaac Beckman, 46 (Joseph, Or.) He is also survived by beloved step-sisters Alana Simmons, 40 (Vancouver, Wa) and Amberle Smith, 42 (resides in Germany) and their families.
Walker has many nieces and nephews, some with children of their own. He enjoyed regular trips to Vancouver and northeastern Oregon to see them all, especially for holidays!
Walker was known for big smiles, good music, warmth of fellowship with people of faith and like interests. He was gifted with a great sense of humor.
Walker was raised to know Jesus and enjoyed many friendships at Vancouver Vineyard Church through the years, where he met Abby. He struggled with physical pain a good part of his adult life following a severe assault and related surgeries in 2007, and after they were married he and Abby opened Etsy shops online featuring their laser-engraved items for babies and toddlers. Abby will continue marketing her line of tallow-based skin and bath care to support their children now. These can be found at
Quartzcreeknaturals.etsy.com if you would like to enjoy gift-buying there.
Walker has many cousins, nieces and nephews, some with children of their own. He enjoyed regular trips to Vancouver and their hometowns in Oregon to see them all, especially for holidays and on his band trips.
All who know him and His Savior look forward to our reunion in the coming age!
