Wallace Sylvester Greene, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the age of 84.

He was born on June 11, 1941, in Darlington, SC, to parents Lincoln Greene of Darlington, SC and Bessie Alice Grant of Jacksonville, FL.

Wallace lived a life centered around working hard, supporting, and taking care of his wife and family. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to his beloved wife, Donna Greene, and to the beautiful family they built together. His home was a place of love, commitment, and dedication
a reflection of his strong and steadfast spirit.

Wallace will be remembered as a hardworking businessman who kept everyone smiling while taking care of the people around him. Every weekend, he loved visiting relatives and friends. His life was full of laughter and fun, and he maintained a warm, welcoming smile wherever he went.

Whether spending time with family, offering encouragement, or finding humor in everyday situations, Wallace knew how to lift spirits. He loved to joke, laugh, and bring joy to others. He lived his life with humility and modesty. His love for his wife and family was evident to everyone who knew him.

Wallace left high school and joined the United States Army, where he graduated from the Army's Signal "C" School in communications. Shortly afterward, he met the love of his life, Donna. They fell in love and began the Greene family. As a father, Wallace worked tirelessly to make sure birthdays, holidays, and Christmas mornings were full of love. He not only provided financial support, but he wrapped his entire life around taking care of the Greene family. To all who knew him personally, he was affectionately called "Poka" or "Wally." He was an inspiration to everyone he leaves behind.

He is survived by his sisters Dorothy Gilmore, Elizabeth Austin, and Barbara Edwards. Son Keith Greene; grandchildren, Travis Greene, Janae Greene, Miles Greene, Adrien Hasell Jr., and Tyler Strothers; two great-grandchildren from James Harris; and other extended family
members who will cherish his memory forever.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bessie Greene and Lincoln Greene; Brother Lincoln Greene Jr., sisters Alice Mae Wormley and Ella Louise Greene, His sons, Wallace Greene Jr. and Kenneth Greene; his daughter, Susan Greene; and his grandsons, James Harris and
Anthony Strothers.

Wallace and his beloved wife, Donna Greene, will be laid to rest together…. Two hearts, one love, forever united. Scripture: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." - 2 Timothy 4:7

Though his presence will be deeply missed, his laughter, his kindness, and his high-spirited personality will always be remembered. His legacy of family, love, and hard work will continue to shine through the lives of everyone he touched. May he rest in peace, and may his memory continue to live in our hearts.
