Wallace Dupre Gregory, Sr. 82, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
Born in Spartanburg County on June 7, 1942, he was the son of the late John Edd Gregory and Louise (McAbee) Harmon, and was the husband of Sylvia Lindsey Gregory.
Wallace served in the United States Army in Korea, graduated from Wofford College, and worked with Milliken & Company as an electrical engineer where he led development on the Milliton project.
He was a member of First Baptist Spartanburg, Inman Masonic Lodge #201, and was a Hejaz Shriner.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by one son, Wallace D. Gregory, Jr; two daughters, Melissa Lynch and her husband Joe and Laura Laltrello and her husband Joe; one sister, Jo Ann Ertzberger; five grandchildren, Wallace (Tripp) D. Gregory III, Julia Gregory, Catherine Peaden and her husband Cameron, Caroline Lynch and Vinca Laltrello along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Guided by his faith, Wallace gave generously to help others. In addition, he loved the outdoors - riding horses, traversing the mountains, training his dogs, playing with his grandchildren, enjoying time with his family, and building projects around his property. They gave him great joy and he loved talking about them.
A Memorial Service with Masonic Rites will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, South Carolina with Rev. Sean Fortner officiating. The family will receive friends following the service, at the funeral home.
