Wally Jacobsen

Walter Anthony "Wally" Jacobsen, 59, of Hazlet, passed away suddenly at home on January 25,

2026. Wally was born in Staten Island, NY to Walter Lee Jacobsen and Elizabeth (Cornette)

Thompson.

Wally was an outstanding auto salesman for Pine Belt Nissan in Keyport. He enjoyed flea

markets, was an avid collector of radios, and was a member of the NJ Antique Radio Club. He

loved dancing, summer trips to Seaside Heights, vintage vinyls, and playing dj by the pool. He

was always the life of the party! Wally had the most infectious laugh and the smoothest moves.

But best of all, he was a great friend and a loving husband.

Wally was predeceased by his father, Walter Lee Jacobsen, grandparents, Joseph and Frances

Cornette, uncles; Joseph and Anthony Cornette and his doggies, Teddy and Sassy.

Most of all he loved his family.

He is survived by his wife Lilia (Giron) Jacobsen with whom he's spent 26 years together. He is

also survived by his mother, Elizabeth Thompson, his step-father Clifford Thompson, stepdaughters;

Hyacinth Jacobsen and Amber Davis, brothers; Eric and Keith, sisters, Amy (Matthew)

Linquito and Sally Thompson, his grandchildren; Eric C. Jacobsen, Joseph Jacobsen and Miliana

Maloy, as well as his niece and nephews, Olivia, Matthew and Dominic Linquito.
