Walter Bonowicz, aged 81, passed away on February 23, 2024, at Phelps Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 28, 1942, in Jersey City, NJ, to Edward and Sophie Bonowicz. He was a proud resident of Valhalla, NY and was a 1964 graduate of St. Peter's University.
He married Ann Marie DeFrancesco on June 28, 1970, in Pleasantville, NY. He worked at The Bank of Tokyo and later moved on as an executive recruiter with MVP Associates. After he retired he worked part time for Hallmark as a retail merchandiser. He loved football, horse racing and enjoyed going to the casinos. He always had a big smile on his face wherever he went. He enjoyed talking to everyone.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Marie Bonowicz; a younger sister, Eleanor Poplasky; daughters, Jean Marie Reck (Dennis Reck) and Kathleen Seitz (William Seitz) and grandchildren Kaylee, Brendan, and Justin Reck and Saxon Seitz.
