Walter Bragg Obituary

Walter "Tim" Bragg Jr., died peacefully on January 15, 2026. Born in Attleboro, MA, on September 16, 1942. He was the son of the late Walter L. Bragg and Rita (McAuley) Bragg.

Tim's two sons Wally & Timmy from a previous marriage to Sandra Jusczyk have predeceased him. Walter known to family and friends as Tim which was a nickname given by a family friend. As a result of his nickname both his sons were named after him, Walter and Timothy.

Married to Judith Shepardson for 23 years, they had a long loving relationship of 45 years. Together they enjoyed travelling when possible. Also, whitewater rafting, hot air ballooning, canoeing and spending time cruising the cape.

Above all else, Tim loved his boys and family. His capacity to love and care for those around him was unwavering and truly inspirational. He had a very close and loving relationship with his sisters, Susan Gula of Mansfield, Carolyn Reasoner of Mansfield, his predeceased sister Alice Haydock of New Jersey. His predeceased step brother and sister, John Holden, Jr. of North Attleboro and Ruth Hansen of New Hampshire. Tim had a special bond with his nieces the "Gula" girls, Kendra and her husband Tom Eliason of Sturbridge, Karen and her husband Ed Walsh of New Hampshire, Kasha Flynn of North Attleboro, Mindy Haydock of New Jersey, Michael Haydock and his partner Shawn Miller of Florida and Stephen Reasoner of Mansfield. He also loved and enjoyed his great nieces and nephews, Colin, Nate and Kate Eliason, Brennan, Nora and Mary Walsh and Kenzie Flynn. Although not a niece his cousin's daughter Sofia Gulick was also very special to him.

Tim's greatest joys were having summer cookouts at the lake with family and friends. He loved watching the kids play and swim and he loved "tubing" the kids around the lake.

In his early years Tim worked as sexton at both Woodlawn and North Purchase Cemeteries in Attleboro. Later he worked at Attleboro Plainville Oil installing heating and air conditioning.

His work was a testament to his dedication and commitment, but it was his hobbies that truly showcased his creativity. Over the years he remodeled the house, did all the landscaping and most all the stonework, which included building his koi pond. He also loved restoring older trucks and cars, especially his 67 mustang convertible. Tim was also a lover of all animals. His two dogs Murphy and Riley and his cat Belle brought him great love, companionship and comfort. He also loved to feed all the birds, squirrels and ducks.

The family invites you to share in celebrating Walter's life on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 4-7 PM at Duffy-Poule Funeral and Cremation Services, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, MA. Private burial will take place.
