Walter Bryce Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Richardson Funeral Home - Leominster on Apr. 14, 2025.
Walter Harry Bryce, known affectionately as Wally to his friends and family, passed away on April 1, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on August 12, 1961, in Fitchburg.
Wally was predeceased by his parents, Janet L. (Viens) and Francis R. Bryce. He faced the profound loss of the mother of his children, Wanda Algier, in 2002, his cherished daughter Samantha Bryce, and beloved grandson Jayden in 2016. Despite these tragedies, Wally's resilience and capacity for love remained unshaken as he shared the last years of his life with his devoted wife, Gail (Norris) Bryce, and enjoyed the company of Melissa and Brandon.
Wally is survived by his children, Kelly Bryce of Leominster, and Dana Bryce of Gardner. His spirit will continue to live on through his adoring grandchildren, Reggie, Anthony, Mykayla, Allianna, Gabriella, Jeremiah, Nathan, Isaias, Ayden, Mia, Joshua, and Jeovanni, and his great-grandchild Nayzir. The family joyfully anticipates the arrival of another great-grandchild soon. Wally's life was further enriched by the companionship of his many nieces and nephews.
Wally was the beloved brother of Dave Bryce (Kathy) of Athol, Doug Bryce (Diane Porter) of Lunenburg, Mike Bryce of Leominster, Corey Bryce (Kendra) of Fitchburg, and his sisters Lisa Anctil (Langis) of Maine, and Cynthia Bryce. Each of his siblings held a special place in his heart, and together they shared countless memories filled with laughter and love.
Those who knew Wally will remember him as a man who was incredibly handy, always ready to lend a helping hand or fix anything that needed repair. One of Wally's greatest joys was being a grandfather. He cherished the moments spent with his grandchildren, whether it was teaching them how to cast a line while fishing in any body of water he could find or guiding them as they took their first few pedal-strokes on a bike. These simple, yet profound joys of life were Wally's treasures, and he shared them generously with his grandchildren.
Wally navigated life's ups and downs with grace and left the world a better place through his kindness and friendship.
As we say goodbye to Walter Harry Bryce, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of laughter, love, and the quiet strength that defined him. Wally navigated life's ups and downs with grace and left the world a better place through his kindness and friendship. He will be deeply missed, but the memories he created with his loved ones will ensure that his spirit endures. Wally's journey through life was a reflection of the man he was-genuine, caring, and forever in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 26 at South End National Club, 13 Market St., Fitchburg from 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Meet this man by chance. My shopping cart broke and he walked me home with my food. He was one of a kind. Pray for the family.

I grew up with Wally I lived on Harrison st ... I go by Cher now ... aka Cheryl Newell ... so very sorry to hear about his death ... we had a lot of fun... a memory that has stayed with me is one day I was walking in Doyle field and he called be over to where he was... we were probably about 10 or 11... he had a toad in his hands and he told me to open up the toads mouth and hold it open while he stuck a lit firecracker in its mouth ... nothing happened... the fire cracker went off but the toad just sat there... probably stunned... lol... he had the most beautiful blue eyes Xo
