I lived next to Walt for a few years and we became great friends. He taught the art of wielding a chainsaw when I later moved out to the Gull Lake area and he came out to help me take down a big tree.

The biggest memory I have of Walt and I's experiences (Marti I know will never forget) is when Walt found a mushroom "out-of-season", but he looked it up and thought it would be okay. He sauteed with his special mushroom ingredients and we ate them (either alone or with steak...I forget) and they were delicious! Unfortunately it was only a few hours later we were pleaded our wife's to call poison control as we were sick (both sides) for several hours. We thought we we're going to die! Marti and my at-the-time wife Pam had the biggest laugh over this and they never let us forget it.

Marti, Travis, Amanda, Tyler and extended family, I am truly sorry for your loss. He will always share at great place in my heart and I know he will be missed by many. God Bless and God Speed Walt. May you Rest in Peace. Love ya!
