Walter L. Davis Sr., age 78, was born on March 19, 1946 in Kansas City, KS to Lewis Davis and Allie Mae Parker-Dorch. He passed away on June 26, 2024 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Walter is preceded in death by his mother, Allie Mae Parker-Dorch; step-father who raised him, Edward Dorch Sr.; son, Walter Lewis Davis Jr.; sisters, Lynn Dorch and Shirley Davis; brother, Leo Andre Dorch, whom had taken care of Walter for many years up until his untimely death; and his granddaughter, Sydney Cox Dunn.
His is survived and will be missed by his children: Marielle Rone, Darric Partee, Crystal Knight, William Davis, Donna Cox, Shadana and Walter; his brothers, William (Rose) Davis, Edward (Elaine) Dorch; sisters: Vanessa (James) Dixon, Cynthia Dorch, Angel (James) Dorch-Love; many adored grandchildren; other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 10:30am-11:30am at Highland Park Funeral Home. Funeral service to start at 11:30am. Burial at Leavenworth National Cemetery will be Thursday, July 11, 2024 following funeral services at 1:30pm.
