Walter V. Goldade

WALTER GOLDADE - Walter Valentine Goldade, age 85, of Columbus, MS, passed away June 14, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be Friday, June 20, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. A graveside committal will be Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Memorial Gardens of Columbus with military honors.

Mr. Goldade was born May 24, 1940, in Marquette, MI, to the late Valentine and Evelyn (Ross) Goldade. He was a veteran of Vietnam serving in the United States Air Force all over the world, including his favorite place, Turkey. Mr. Goldade retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant and was a member of the VFW. He was a member of the Wildlife Federation Hunting Club, and enjoyed bowling for the Tri City Bowling Team, and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christa Mueller Goldade, and brother, Lowell Goldade.

Survivors include his son, Gerhardt Goldade of Boonville, MS, daughters, Rosi Johnson of Gainsville, GA, and Barbie Cannon and her husband Gary of Fayette, AL, sister-in-law, Alice Goldade of Robbins, TN, grandchildren, Kerensa Jett, Angela Hankins, Robert Tucker, Brittany Weeks, and Molly Goldade, and 8 great grandchildren.
