I got the pleasure of taking care of Mr. King this past year, but in that short time he made a profound impact on me and my life. I cared for him deeply and am sending my prayers and condolences to his family and loved ones, he will be very missed by us and I will never forget him.

Walter was a wonderful support system in my life, and so grateful, having such a wonderful cousin that was so humble and made himself available to appear as part of the band I put together for two concerts, including the private concert May 24,2022,I would consult with Walter before making decisions because he provided sound advice, his wife Brenda never leaving his side, she is a wonderful person, you and family are in my prayers and forever in my heart.

My deepest condolences to the family and many friends that loved Walter. As a friend of BB's I knew Walter for over 30 years and it was always lovely to see his smile and the glint in his eye. He leaves a beautiful legacy of music.

My dear friend, I will miss you. I will miss your wise advice on how to navigate this crazy world. I will miss your stories, and your genuine interest in how I'm doing. I'll miss talking about the movies and TV shows we both love, and our shared love for martial arts. I will miss reminiscing about the times we had when you took us ragtag group of kids under your wing and taught us how to really play with heart. My heart hurts today, and I'm half expecting you to sense it and call like you always seem to do when I was hurting or when you somehow just knew I needed to hear a friendly voice. I will miss you dearly.

A friend that I lost touch with unfortunately. We played in a few groups around town and Walter was the last band director at Goodlettsville HS. When I first started teaching we´d work with each other´s kids. He was a fine musician, teacher and human being. Once he said "if you know all of your scales and understand basic rhythms you should be able to play anything in front of you." At that time I thought that was oversimplified but later in life I grew to appreciate the truth in that statement! I had known him for a few years and he mentioned going to "Uncle BB´s house", and I was like "what? As in BB King?" Yep, that was just east going, no big deal to him. Sorry I didn´t get to reconnect but always memories of some fun and often pretty silly times. RIP Walter!
