Walter H. Lob

Walter Lob entrusted me with his fine collection of bowed string instruments. I respected Walter for his good humor and high standards, and will miss him dearly.

I knew Walter as a dance fiddler. He had a joyful style of playing: a bit rough-hewn, but infused with respect for the old tunes and a spark that made you want to get up and dance. It was my pleasure to perform with him.
