Walter Ritzman Jr.

Walter William Ritzman, Jr. born in Toledo Ohio to Walter William Sr. and Stella Ritzman on October 14, 1930, died at the age of 92 on April 21, 2023, in Loveland, Colorado. Walter attended Fulton Grade School and Scott High School, graduating from the Toledo University School of Pharmacy in 1954. He held his Pharmacy License until 2014. He found his way to Larned Kansas where he owned Ritzman Pharmacy for thirty-three years. Walter was District Director for the Kansas Pharmaceutical Association and president of the Larned Chamber of Commerce. Directing the Sesquicentennial parade and serving moonshine in the saloon was the highlight of his public career. Walter's sense of humor was well-known. In 1998 Walter retired and moved to Estes Park, Colorado to play golf. Eventually, he met and married Pamela Greene, together they shared the company of two Labrador retrievers. Having attended seven Winter Olympics with his family, Walter thoroughly enjoyed these adventures. He finished out his years at Good Samaritan Village in Loveland, Colorado. Walter is survived by his wife Pamela and his five children, Elizabeth, John, David, Paul, and Mark Luke. Walter has four stepchildren, John Greene, Bobby Greene, Sarah Larzelere, and Paul Greene. He has ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. His sisters Wilma, Florence, and Carol proceeded him in death.
