Walter Smith Obituary
He was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy R.(Porter) Smith, daughter in law Donna J. Smith and son in law's Darryl Norwood and Lewis Dixon.
Walter is survived by his present wife Barbara Joan Smith, daughter Janet M Dixon, sons Thomas H. Smith (Terry), Gary W Smith (Cheryl), stepsons Andrew Linker(Orissa),and Brian Masser (Michele). Also 9 grandchildren, Brent Dixon (Lori), Bradley Dixon (Krystal), Tommy Smith (Amy), Jason Smith (Melissa ), Gary W. Smith Jr, Emily Linker, Matthew Linker, Tommy Masser, Katie Masser. Also survived by 5 great grandchildren Natalie, Carolyn, Lane, Charlotte, Austin.
He was a lifelong farmer in Frederick County. A member of the Strong Tower Christian Church and a former member of the Mt. Airy Vol. Fire Dept. Walter has donated his body to the MD. State Anatomy Board for medical research.
A memorial service will be held on January 24,2026 at 11:00am at the Strong Tower Christian Church at 7450 New Technology Way, Suite C , Frederick,MD. 21703
If you wish, memorial contributions may be made to Strong Tower Christian Church or charity of choice.

So sorry to hear of his passing. He had a good life and he left lots of good memories to his family and friends! He loved farming and he always checked on the crops that Gary and Tom planted!
