Wood River ChapelWallee Lange passed away Monday, November 3rd, at 6:04 pm. He was home, in his recliner, surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren. His brother and niece were here with him for four days prior to his passing. Our home was filled with lots of love. We’re so glad we were able to bring him home for his last days. We laughed and we cried. We held his hands and hugged him. He fought hard to win his health back after being diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in August of 2024. He did all he could to stay with us.
Thank you for all of your support. It helped him more than you know. Wallee is survived by his wife, Nancie Lange, children Tiffanie McCauley (Michael Brady) and Jeremy Lange (Rebecca Lange) and grandchildren Lydia McCauley, Olivia Lange, Cole McCauley and Morgan McCauley as well as his brother Jerry Lange and niece Gillian Kemper.
In remembrance of Wallee, we invite you to join us for an open house Friday, November 21, 2025, from 4:30 to 7:00pm at 431 Mother Lode Loop in Hailey.
Rather than flowers, Wallee said he would prefer people consider a donation in his name to:
-St. Luke’s Boise Guest House. It is a facility similar to a Ronald McDonald house. That is where Nancie often stayed during his treatments.
-St Luke’s Boise Hospital 4 South. That is where he received his transplant and was cared for each time he was hospitalized. They are amazing caring people who helped us through the last year.
-Lastly, Wallee loved being outdoors. Camping, snorkeling.... you could also consider a donation to your favorite outdoor place or organization.
Thank you again for your love and support. We miss him terribly.
