So sorry for your loss Christa and Rainer!
We met your parents at the Lehigh Saengerbund, shortly, after we decided to settle down in Allentown in 1978. We would encounter each other again and again in social settings, also at the Saengerbund events at S.5th St., later in
Emmaus...We remember the Gruenkohl dinners, Christmases in July....
Walter was there, always in a good mood, sharing funny jokes. The lows that he had endure in his young life, may have been stored away somewhere in his memory. It did not prevent him from living a happy and fulfilled life....It was always a pleasure, being around him. He made it to a 100, what an accomplishment! may he now rest in peace.
