Walter B Wilson

Walter B. Wilson, Jr., age 70, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026,

at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

Walter was born June 8, 1955, in Bowling Green, KY, to the late Walter Briggs Wilson, Sr., and

the late Katherin Rose Bell Wilson. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Neal

Wilson and a sister, Judy Gail Wilson-Shields.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Anna Wilson and sister Geraldine (Wilford) Scarbrough.

Walter was a member of Barton Memorial Baptist Church, where his faith and fellowship

were important parts of his life. A skilled mechanic, he had a lifelong passion for restoring cars

and took great pride in bringing them back to life. He also worked in carpentry and found true

joy in woodworking, creating and fixing things with his hands. Outside of his work, he loved

spending time with his faithful dog, Gizmo, and could often be found tending to his garden,

where he found peace and happiness in nurturing things as they grew.

The family has entrusted J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel with arrangements.

Funeral services for Walter Wilson, Jr., are scheduled to be conducted on Wednesday, February

4, 2026, at 11:00am with burial to follow in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation will begin

Tuesday, February 3, at 4:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Wednesday at 9:00am until time of

service at 11:00am.
