Having spent many of our formative school years together, Walter was a fixture on the scene. He very graciously & quietly stepped in to provide guitar accompaniment for me (unpracticed!) for a public performance when my friend with whom I had practiced was unable to do it, at the last minute. He beautifully strummed "Nights in White Satin" as the background. I hope he knew how much I appreciated his willingness & his talent. He was kind & considerate. I am proud to have called him Friend.
