Wanda Faye Adkins, age 75, passed away on October 14th, 2025. She was born to the late Ross and Ruby Adkins in Raysal, West Virginia but spent a lot of her life in Erwin, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.
Wanda had a heart of gold and a smile that shined like a million stars. She was a kind soul. She may never have had to worry about much in life, but she had love for all those around her. She especially loved animals and missed her beloved dog, Scooter. Wanda found peace and enjoyment when bird watching. She had always wanted to learn how to line dance and now she is line dancing in heaven with no troubles at all.
Wanda Faye Adkins has left behind to cherish her memory: her sisters and brother, Brenda Wilkins of Erwin, Ella Ries of Champagne, IL, Barbara Gallegos of Huntington Beach, CA and Ross Adkins of Fairbanks, AL; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we celebrate the life of Wanda Faye Adkins in the mausoleum chapel at Evergreen Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 28, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Wanda's name to Serenity House of Morristown, 421 N High Street Morristown, TN 37814, or at www.hospicefriends.org
The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff of Serenity House Hospice for their loving care for Wanda during her final days.
