Wanda F. Beck

1936 - 2025

Wanda F. Beck, age 89, of Madison, Fla., passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Wanda was born on June 13, 1936, in Hamilton County, Fla., to Roscoe and Verna Bennett. She graduated from high school in Jennings, Fla., and left for Jacksonville, Fla., to work with the Chamber of Commerce. After moving to Madison, Wanda had many jobs, but two of her favorites were being a desk clerk at Days Inn in Jasper, where she enjoyed meeting people from all over, and keeping children in her home where they were loved and cared for like her own grandchildren.
Wanda was a devout Christian and a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church for 62 years. She served as a Sunday School teacher and always enjoyed assisting with Vacation Bible School and other church related activities.  
Wanda was known for being a fine cook and baker, and was affectionately called the "dumpling lady."  She prepared everything she made with love and could always be counted on to cook something amazing and delicious to share with her family and friends. 
Remaining to cherish Wanda's memory are her children, Marshall (Michelle) Beck, of Live Oak, Fla. and Donna Beck Grubbs, of Madison, Fla. Wanda treasured her role as a grandmother and was lovingly known as Na to grandchildren: Brad (Sherilyn) Pickels, Stephanie (Cole) Salter, Aaron Beck, Ryan (Lauren) Faucher, Christopher (Jami) Faucher and Michael (Kelsea) Faucher; and great-grandchildren: Jarrett Pickels, Maddie Salter, Avery Beck, McKinlee Beck, Emma Faucher and Callahan Faucher.
She also leaves behind a special friend, who she considered a sister, Mary Ellen Jordan.
Preceding Wanda in death are her parents; her brother, Glenwood Bennett; sister, Betty Jones; and niece, Julia Jones.
Visitation was held on Monday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m., with funeral services that immediately followed at 12 p.m., at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, in Madison, Fla. Interment was at Macedonia Baptist Church cemetery. Officiating the services was Greg Ragans and Trent Abbott.
