Wanda Brown Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Clinton Funeral Service on Mar. 3, 2026.
Wanda Lee Brown, age 86, of Morrilton, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026. She was born on December 19, 1939, at home in Mount Vernon, Arkansas, to Jesse L. Johnston and Nancy Louise Beene Johnston.

Wanda grew up in Mount Vernon, where she built the strong foundation of faith and values that guided her throughout her life. She was a devoted Christian and faithfully attended the Church of Christ in Mount Vernon and later in Conway. Wanda was dedicated to the Lord above all, she often said she was "married to the church and her Lord." Her faith was unwavering, and she lived each day striving to honor Him. She found joy in listening to gospel music and hymns that lifted her spirit.

Wanda was a loving and devoted mother to her son, Ronnie McNinch. She believed deeply in raising her child in the ways of the Lord and made sure he attended church when he was young, even when he didn't want to. She was a woman of her word, always standing by her promises and teaching by example.

She was a cherished grandmother to Micheal McNinch and Jesse McNinch, Wanda is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Ann Griffin. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Leon Johnston and Houston Johnston, and her husband in addition to her beloved parents.

Clinton Funeral Service is honored to have been entrusted with arrangements for the Brown family. We welcome you to share your thoughts and memories of Wanda on our Memory Wall.
