Wanda Marie Chavez

CHAVEZ - Wanda Chavez, 66, of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 28, 2009, after a hard battle with pancreatic cancer surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on February 21, 1943 to Frank and Ruth Williams who preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Rudolph Chavez; children, Jeff Keyes and wife Sarah, Elvira Meraz and husband Armando, Mario Delgado, Rudy Chavez Jr., Debbie Chavez, Susie Chavez, Lazarita Chavez fianc� Jared Cooney, Sonya Chavez and boyfriend Roger Larranga; grandchildren, Riley, Ehmett, Charolette, Deauna, Chastity, Armando III, Deziree, Matthew, Mark, Joseph, Matthew Jr., Joseph Jr., Nicholas, Alexander, Joshua, Aaron, Santos, Cypress, Joseph Jr., Jaqualynn, Stevie, Imani, Jazmin, Sierra, and Sara; siblings, Esther Johnson and husband Joe, Lester Williams and wife Jan, Jim Williams and wife Aileen, Charles Williams and wife Debra, Hugh Williams and fianc� Mary Yaska, David Williams and wife Kathy, Don Williams and wife Debbie, and Ron Williams and wife Delia; many many nieces and nephews. She was a very talented and creative artist who loved spending time making homemade projects, A loving lady who always opened up her heart and home to everyone who entered her life. Her most favorite thing was the "I love you sign language hand" because that was her way of telling everyone she loved them. Services will take place on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. A second service will take place on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. also at French Mortuary. Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 from 4 - 6 at French Mortuary Westside Chapel. Pallbearers will be Jeff Keyes, Mario Delgado, Rudy Chavez Jr., Leroy Williams, Armando Meraz, and Jared Cooney. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
