Wanda M. Crist 89, of
Decatur, IL passed away at 4:29 am, Friday, December 22, 2023, in St. Mary's Hospital,
Decatur, IL.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 28, 2023, in Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL. The family will have a visitation on Wednesday evening, December 27, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Calvert & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion. Memorials may be made to the Decatur Genealogical Society or to

Wanda was born January 26, 1934, in Lafayette, IN the daughter of Harry and Cora Mae (Scott) Bessler. She married William J. "Bill" Crist on February 19, 1950. He preceded her in death on December 17, 2014. Wanda began her working career with General Electric Company. She retired as an Engineering Technician from the Clinton Nuclear Power Station. She had owned and operated the Quilt Shop. She had a passion for studying genealogy.
Surviving is her son: Michael William Crist (Connie) of Decatur; daughter: Lori Queary of Decatur; grandchildren: Shelly Houran, Becky Crist, Scott Crist (Kimberly Lilly), Erin Jacops (Landon), Sarah Shrum-Davis (Josh), Matt Shrum (Katie), Ben Reeves, (Miranda), Sciler Treacy, Sha Diamond Cason; special family friend: Brian Moran; great-grandchildren: Damien Houran, Sydney Houran, Lindsey Houran, Tyler Bellers, Justin Bellers, Morgan Hayden (Austin), Dawson Crist, Victorrin Crist, Roger Poor-Crist, and Marcus Davis.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son: Brad Crist, daughter: Jacque Shrum, granddaughter: Heather Crist, one brother and two sisters.
