Wanda Faye Deason, 75, entered her Heavenly home on August 22, 2025. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Wanda lived a life marked by love, faith, and joyful service to others.
Wanda shared a deep and enduring love with her late husband, Walter. Their bond was a shining example of devotion—always together. She often spoke fondly of those simple days, like going with Walter on his milk runs, riding side-by-side on the truck’s bench seat. A reflection of the closeness they carried throughout their life together.
Family was at the heart of everything Wanda did. She was a loving mother and grandmother who embodied selflessness and care. Known for her cooking and her open table, Wanda delighted in feeding others, and her family often joked that if you ever left her home hungry, it was your own fault.
A woman of faith, Wanda was a proud Christian and a member of the Missionary Baptist church. She loved the Lord and lived out her faith through kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones.
Wanda also had a lively spirit—she enjoyed dancing, laughing, and never missed an opportunity to have fun. A true go-getter, she never knew how to sit still and was always on the move, living life to the fullest. She was a good listener, a steady presence, and someone who poured her heart into those she cared for.
She will be remembered as a woman who loved deeply, gave selflessly, and lived joyfully—leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and family.
