Wanda K. Doyon

Wanda Kay (Wilson) Doyon, 78, of Waterford, Michigan passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, surrounded by those lucky enough to have been a part of her life.
Wanda was born on August 13, 1947 in Flint, Michigan to Marvin Delmar Wilson and Mary Sue (Holtzhouser) Wilson, the eldest of six siblings: Marvin Delmar Wilson, Delvin Keith Wilson, Norma Janeen "Jan" Wilson, Vicki Lynn Wilson, Jesse Lee Wilson, and Kimberly Ann (Wilson) Fisher.
In the spring of 1964, Wanda married Joseph Leo Doyon, and together they had four children–Tamara (Doyon) Mathews, Joseph "Todd" Doyon, Tracy (Doyon) Swan, and Thomas Doyon. Wanda is survived by her children, her sons-in-law, Walter Mathews and Keith Swan, her daughter-in-law Gina Doyon, her grandchildren, Ryan Mathews and Isabella Swan, and her great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Keith, who bravely served his country in Vietnam.
Wanda attended high school at Pontiac Central before working at General Motors for over 30 years. She earned her associate degree in social work from Oakland Community College with a 3.9 GPA and became a state-licensed social worker. She worked for HAVEN, a shelter providing assistance and counseling for women in crisis, before serving nearly two decades as a patient representative and liaison at POH Regional Medical Center. She concluded her career as a legal assistant for Clarkston Law Group, PLLC.
Those who knew Wanda will remember her sharp wit, infectious laughter, and the tireless way she loved others. Her home was the heart of countless holiday gatherings and celebrations, creating cherished memories that will last lifetimes.
A visitation will be held on November 17th, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. A funeral procession will follow to Perry Mount Park Cemetery, where she will be interred. In lieu of sending flowers, the family invites you to make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association.
