Wanda June Dreisewerd,74, of
Troy, MO, passed away peacefully to her heavenly home on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
This beautiful baby girl blessing was brought into this wonderful world on August 30, 1949. Born in St. Louis, MO to Oscar (Bill)and Margaret (Meyer) Walker. Wanda graduated in 1968 from Troy Buchanan High School.
Not long after a handsome fellow named Lawerence John Dreisewerd caught her eye as well as her heart. It seemed to be love at first sight and they were engaged three months later. April 17, 1971 was the joyous day to be joined in Holy Matrimony. To this wonderful union were born four beautiful bundles of joy, Marcy Lynn, Cindy JoAnn, Jan Michele and Gina Marie.
Wanda had her share of employments, but truly enjoyed her job at the local business, called Harcourt and other names over the years. After many years of tireless service, Wanda retired on February 28, 2013. However, her best times were spent being the best wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she could be. Wanda succeeded at all of those things! Family and Friends meant the world to her. She loved living on the family livestock farm. Lawrence and Wanda worked so hard for it and enjoyed time with their family spent there.
Her favorite color is Blue. Her favorite song is Johnny B. Goode, she couldn't help but dance ! She always thought of others, sharing a caring and generous heart and mentioning " I am just a phone call away". She loved sewing and her children benefitted on many occasions. Wanda enjoyed cooking and baking especially pulling out her old cookbooks that were falling apart, from all of the loving use. She was always willing to share.
Her hugs were always welcomed. Her love was always shown. She has touched so many hearts and we are truly thankful to have had her in our lives as long as The Good Lord shared.
This year would have been 53 years of marriage for Wanda and Lawrence. Lawrence passed on June 15, 2012 and is now re-united with his beautiful bride.
