Wanda Jackson Obituary
Mrs. Jackson, born in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, on June 13, 1953, to Frank W. Williams and Edith K. Montague Williams, was a registered operating room nurse at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Virginia and recently retired from Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Lee Floyd Jackson.
Survivors include her daughter, Meggan Jackson Anderson (Jeramy) of Register, Georgia; and eight grandchildren, Moriah, Lily, Shiphrah, Joseph, Daniel, Tabitha, Abigail and Azariah; her siblings, Phyllis Johnson (James Temple), Frank Phillip Williams (Joanie), Regina Clemons (Johnny), Gearl Williams and Cheryl Maxine Lewis (Brian); and countless nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at Grace Baptist Church in Woodbridge, Virginia, on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Quantico National Cemetery on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 1 p.m.

I met Wanda in 1976 when I started working at Inova Fairfax Hospital. We worked together on Tower 3 East. I was a new grad, and she had a lot of experience, because she´d worked at the hospital as an LPN before becoming an RN. We bonded over braces - she had them and I needed them! I was full of questions. When I used to go horseback riding in Great Falls, I would go by her house afterwards, and she would always feed me. I remember Lee and his pork chop sandwiches! I was lucky enough to enjoy the music of John Jackson. I had her baby shower, and took her to her six-week check up, while she held Meggan in her arms! Back then you could do that, but I´ll never forget how nervous I was! Wanda transferred from T3E to the OR and I followed her there. She was one of the best, and my choice for my daughter´s surgeries. I only had minimal touch with her after she moved to Georgia. The last time I saw her was when she came by the hospital to get used sterilization wrap for packing her belongings. I will always love her! I miss you, my friend.
