Wanda Jo Jackson

Healdton- Services for Wanda (McClain) Jackson, 87, of Healdton are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 29, 2024, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Healdton with Bro. Quenton Newton officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery.
Wanda was born November 16, 1936, at Oil Center, OK to the late Mr. Phoenix Jack McClain and Mrs. Myrtle (Murray) McClain. She departed this life on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Marlow.
Wanda was raised mostly in the Fox and Velma area, but she and her family moved around often due to her father's employment in the Oilfield. She graduated from Velma High School with the class of 1955. Wanda married Mr. O.A. Jackson in May of the same year. To this union, they were blessed with three children, Karen Gail, Lisa Jo, and Jeffrey Alan. In 1971, Wanda went on to further her education, attending nursing school, becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. She began her nursing career in the Hospital at Ardmore but later took a position as a secretary for Nubs Well Service where she was employed for many years. Wanda later returned to her career as a nurse and began working in Home Health. She was such a giving person who had a passion for caring for others. Wanda liked to dance and loved going to church. She was a long-time member of the Healdton Assembly of God Church.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Phoenix and Myrtle; daughter, Karen Gail Davault; sister, Virginia Scott; brother, Wayne McClain; grandson, Johnathan Wilson; great granddaughter, Faith Langley.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Jackson of Healdton; son, Jeff Jackson and wife Kristi of Healdton; brother, Gerald McClain of Arkansas; grandchildren, Jordy Langley, Kalen Langley, Haley Jackson Smart, Bradley Burckhalter, Dylan Langley, Trey Jackson, Brayden Charles, and Joshua Jackson; great grandchildren, Meredith, Eli, Miley, Jude, Journi, Bentley, Paislee, Destiney, Landry, Bryson, Lexi, Lauren, Taelyn, Cash, Angelina, Lennon, Jocelyn, Tymber, Landon, Melanie, Addison, Drake, and Hannah; numerous other family and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Jordy Langley, Kalen Langley, Dylan Langley, Brad Burckhalter, Trey Jackson, and Joshua Jackson.
A visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Healdton.
