Wanda, daughter of the Late Willie Jennings Johnson Sr. and Flora Elizabeth Johnson, passed away suddenly and leaves behind many great memories. She was born on October 1, 1953, in Neptune, NJ.
Wanda spent the latter part of her life in Neptune, Asbury Park, as well as Detroit, MI. She was a beautiful soul who loved to travel, eat, crack jokes and watch TV westerns. Wanda could light up a room with her pure presence. The fearlessness she personified was unmatched as she could go from complimenting you to cursing you out. Wanda's choice of playful words were filled with an expression of love. She'd also call her grandchildren "tack heads" out of love.
Wanda loved spending time with her two daughters and loved ones as she was always the life of the party with her contiguous laugh. Loving, caring, courageous and outspoken is a short list of positive words to sum up Wanda J, as she's always been one tough cookie.
Wanda was predeceased by her brothers, Jerome Hester, Willie Johnson Jr., Steven Johnson, and Eric Johnson. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her two daughters, Darlene E. Johnson (Angelo) and Laketa R. Johnson (Rickey), brothers, Darrell Knuckles and Tyrone Johnson, sisters, Sheryl Mahomes and Willanda Taylor, stepmother, Kathleen Johnson, four grandchildren, Ishjah Mayo-Summerlin, Leigh Anthony Mayo, Jahkeem Johnson, and Xavier Berrios, one great granddaughter, Phoenix Summerlin, special cousin, Lawerence Wilson (Peanut), and a host of family and friends.
Although Wanda has left us in presence, she'll always be with us in spirit as she has left her mark on all of us. Now she's reunited with her siblings whom she'd missed and spoken highly of endlessly.
From Your Daughters:
From the moment you've passed we've been missing you. No matter where you are we will always stick together. You will always be in our hearts & minds.
Have a safe journey mom, we love you always and forever. NO MOM DON'T CURSE NOBODY OUT!
