Wanda Ann Kellogg, age 68 passed away sleeping in the comfort of her home on October 6, 2023 in La Veta, CO. Wanda was born in Wisconsin on April 6, 1955. She moved to Colorado with her parents and sister Debbie in 1970. Ernie and Wanda were married in 1977 and decided to spend their life in Colorado.
Wanda, a very caring and devoted wife, and mother, moved to La Veta in 1980. She and her husband Ernie began their life in the valley while raising two children. She lived and worked in the area and became an active community member with involvement in the Christ the King Catholic Church. Her faith was very important to her.
In her spare time, Wanda loved to read books, bake, and cross stich and knit. When she was blessed to be a grandmother, she found a new joy in her life.
Wanda is survived by her husband Ernie, son Wade (Katie) Kellogg, daughter Laura (Justin) Jameson, grandchildren Collin, Anna, and Charley, sister Debbie (Ron) McCuiston, and niece Cailey (Jonathan) Linenberger.
A service to celebrate Wanda's life will be held on October 20, 2023 at 10:30 am at Boies-Ortega Funeral Home, located at 115 E 5th Street in Walsenburg. There will be a lunch reception at 12:00pm at the Huerfano Country 4H facilities in La Veta. The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to La Veta Fire Protection District Auxiliary PO Box 455 La Veta, CO 81055.
