Wanda Fay Lee, 81, of Odin passed away Friday, October 24, 2025, at her home in Odin, surrounded, as always, by the love of her community. She was born on February 24, 1944, in Centralia, the daughter of Kenneth Lyle and Edith Marie (Carter) Luttrell. She married Harold LeRoy Lee on June 16, 1973, in Odin. They happily celebrated 44 years of marriage together before he preceded her in death on September 29, 2017.
Survivors that will hold precious memories of Wanda close to their hearts include her step-children, Cathy Parrish, husband Cecil of Salem, and Marla Linn of Salem; three step-grandchildren, Shannon Lee, Bruce Lee, and Brandy Hill; four step-great-grandchildren; three step-great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Avis Luttrell; brother-in-law, Roger Teitsort; nieces and nephew, Keith Evans, Kathy Minor, Diana Yates; four great-nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Along with her beloved husband, Harold Lee, Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Edith Luttrell; sisters, Betty Teitsort, and Dorothy Arnold; brothers, Donald Luttrell, and Jerry Bateman; her step-son, Steven Lee; her step-daughter, Lisa Lee.
A lifelong resident of Odin and a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Wanda worked for many years at Wilson Funeral Home and Monument Company, where her kindness and steady presence touched countless lives. Lovingly known as "Aunt Wanda" to the entire community of Odin, she was a true icon to every visitor, neighbor, and friend, treating everyone like family.
Wanda was a beautiful example of an amazing, supportive wife to her husband Harold, who loved her immensely. Together, they built a life rooted in simple joys: long days outdoors, the changing rhythms of their yard and garden, and the quiet strength of shared work and love. Wanda and Harold spent many Illinois winters at their Florida home, where they shared countless hours fishing and soaking in the quiet beauty of the outdoors. After Harold's passing, Wanda continued to care for their home, her neighbors, and the community that had always been a part of her. She was known for her practical generosity, her genuine laugh, and her love of being outside, especially when the weather was tolerable, tending her yard and garden.
Wanda cared for her community her entire life, and they, in turn, cared deeply for her. Her care, constancy, and love shaped the lives of those around her in quiet, profound ways. Her legacy lives on in the yards she tended, the neighbors she cherished, and the family who loved her dearly. She will be deeply missed by everyone who was in her life.
A celebration of life service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 31, 2025, at Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval with her nephew-in-law, Minister Jeff Minor officiating.
