Billy Dean Bayless

Billy Dean Bayless, 86, of Colcord, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Quail Ridge Living Center in Colcord. Born in Colcord, Oklahoma, Billy was the son of Harold Bayless and Margaret (Dill) Bayless. On October 16, 1963, he was united in marriage to Nancy Elaine Faught in Miami, Oklahoma. Mr. Bayless served in the United States Army and later built a long-standing career as a forklift operator with the Gates Corporation in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Billy enjoyed attending auctions and sale barns, as well as fishing, camping, and most of all, spending quality time with his family. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him. Mr. Bayless was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret (Dill) Bayless; his father, Harold Bayless; his daughter, Carol Reed; two sisters, Helen Ames, and Gladys Wilmoth; four brothers, Harold Jay Bayless, Virgil Bayless, Danny Bayless, and Jerry Bayless. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Elaine Bayless of Colcord, Oklahoma; his son, Billy Shawn Bayless of Gentry, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Megan Bottoms (Travis) of Colcord, Oklahoma, and Kristin Clinton (Angus) of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; one grandson, Christopher Bayless (Amy) of Pryor, Oklahoma; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Edria Wiley of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma, Marilyn Sue (Edward) of Colcord, Oklahoma, and Carolyn Blackfox of Kansas, Oklahoma; three brothers, Max Bayless of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Dale Bayless of Colcord, Oklahoma, and Cloys Bayless (Debbie) of Bentley, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 19, 2025, at Kansas Cemetery in Kansas, Oklahoma.
