Wanda Gail Johnson Snorden was born September 11, 1959, in Montgomery County. She was the fifth child born to William Davis Johnson and Beulah Mae Pendleton Johnson. She departed this life on June 7, 2025, to eternal rest. After graduating from Clarksville High School, she married Joe Hutchinson to start a new chapter in their lives. To this union two children were born, Shonda Hutchinson Perkins and DeFontay Hutchinson. Years later, she married Ronald Snorden. Wanda lived in Guthrie for over 30 years until after her health began to fail.

Wanda was a faithful member of Guildfield Baptist Church. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined the church. She worked tirelessly to help in the ministry. During the times Wanda was able to attend church, she was an active part of several ministries. Some of them include Praise Dance Team, Choir, Video Ministries, Usher Board, Hospitality, Nursery, Drama Team, and VBS teacher.

Family was especially important to Wanda. She did whatever she could to support her family and friends. She was always available with words of wisdom and words of correction when warranted. Wanda especially loved her grandchildren and was very present in their lives. She was affectionally known as “Nana.” Some of her favorite things to do were cooking for her family and getting her hair done.

Professionally, Wanda worked for several industrial factories. In addition, she worked in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) and South Guthrie Community Center. She continued to work until her health began to fail.

Preceding her in death is her husband; Ronald Snorden; mother, Beulah Mae Johnson, her father, Rev. William Johnson; her brother, Lonnie Johnson; two sisters: Mildred Ann Cleveland (Leroy) and Etta Joyce Oliver. She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Shonda Perkins (Montelle), her sons; DeFontay Hutchinson (Casandra), and Eric Snorden; one sister, Stephanie Gold (David), Richmond Hill, GA. Two brothers: Frankie Lane Johnson and Victor Johnson, Sr., (Jeanette), all of Guthrie, KY; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
