Ms. Wanda Lovonia Williamson, 62, of Box Springs, passed away on January 30, 2026, at Piedmond Northside. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, in the chapel of Way-Watson Funeral Home in Buena Vista at 12:00 PM with Rev. Raymond Smith officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 11:00AM until service time. Pallbearers will be Hank Harry, Ty Harry, Jamie Gourlay, Tiffany Gourlay, Eli Atkinson, Art Castro, and Daniel Perry. Burial will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Preston, GA.
Ms. Williamson was born October 27, 1963, in Richland, GA to the late Lemuel Victor “JR” Williamson and Evie Harry Braselton. She loved her family, and spending time with them, especially her kids and grandchildren. Wanda loved Chinese food, drinking coffee and being outdoors near the water. She enjoyed being on the go and traveling and never met a stranger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Kimberly Brickey and a grandson, Peyton Perry.
Survivors include her children, Steven Vickers (Brittany) of Cairo, GA and Susie Perry (Daniel) of Preston, GA; five grandchildren, Jessie Perry, Riley Perry, Colton Perry, Evieanna Vickers, and Tatum Vickers; a brother, Terry Atkinson (Melissa) of Cairo, GA; a brother-in-law, Richard Brickey of Box Springs; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Spradlin, Leroy Vickers, Jessica Johnson, Eli Atkinson, Courtney Atkinson, and many others; and special friends, Ann Castro and Tiffany Castro.
