Ward Gray Obituary
Born in Chester, PA, on April 21, 1953, Ward was the son of the late Paxon E. Gray, Jr. and Anna Mary (Tranor) Gray. He dedicated much of his career to the retail industry, working at Ace Hardware, Lowe's and most recently at Kmart before retiring due to disability.
Ward is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy C. (Fischere) Gray; two sons, Matthew Gray and his companion, Jennifer Rooke, of Lewes, DE, and John Gray of Millsboro, DE and six grandchildren: Tori, Hannah, Kaylan, Braydon, Mason, and Ava.
A viewing will be held from 10 AM to 12 noon on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Rd., Millsboro, DE 19966, where a funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Ward's name to the American Heart Association by visiting www.heart.org.

One of the nicest guys I ever met! But he made me work for it. When I first met him in early 2000 I was a vendor. I remember thinking hmm this guy's kinda tough. I'm going to be extra nice to him. He turned out to be a very nice guy who LOVED John Wayne and a good western! You will be missed!
