Ward B. Mulvaney

Ward B. Mulvaney, age 92, of Powell, OH passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. Born on his parent's farm in Battle Creek, Michigan on April 13, 1930, he was son of the late Walter and Genevieve "Sugar" Mulvaney. He was the beloved husband of Kathy (Ley) Mulvaney, of Port Clinton, OH for 53 years.
Ward graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Business. He worked as a Sales Representative and Account Manager in furniture manufacturing for over 40 years, starting his career with Broyhill Furniture. Ward served in the US Army from April 1951 to April 1953 as a Private First Class during the Korean War. He was stationed in Europe and performed playing piano and singing with American actor Eddie Fisher during his travels.
Ward was an avid table tennis player and loved to take walks. He was a Senior Olympic Table Tennis champion and a member of the Columbus Table Tennis Club. Ward enjoyed walking and was known to make his rounds in and around Story Point, the senior living community in Powell where he spent the last few years of his life with wife Kathy.
Ward was the beloved father of daughters, Kelly (Michael Young) Mulvaney, Terry Mulvaney, and Laurie (Jeffrey) Denbo; son, Kyle (Dana) Mulvaney. He was the grandfather of Shane (Jessica) Mulvaney, Michael Denbo, Ryan Denbo, Jamison Mulvaney and Landon Mulvaney. He was great-grandfather to Connor Mulvaney.
Ward is preceded in death by his brothers, Gary Mulvaney, Jerry Mulvaney, and sister, Marcia Mulvaney.
