Warren Russell O'Blennis, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 28th. He was 83 years old. Warren was born to Warren and Dorothy O' Blennis in St. Louis, Missouri. He grew up in Orange California, where he developed his strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to family. Warren served on the City Council and was Mayor of Benicia for 12 years.
Warren was a dedicated husband to his loving wife, Bobbie Carlene O'Blennis Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Warren was a pillar of strength for his family, always providing support and guidance when needed.
Warren will be remembered for his generosity, compassion, and willingness to help others whenever needed. He touched the lives of all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
Bobbie Carlene O'Blennis
Bobbie Carlene O'Blennis, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 12th surrounded by her loved ones. She was 80 years old. Bobbie was born to Carl and Vivian McKinney in Orange, California where she developed her strong sense of family and community.
Bobbie will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of compassion and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Warren and Bobbie shared 63 wonderful years of marriage. Warren with Bobbie built a rich legacy in the building of our town leaving behind their footprints throughout Benicia to be enjoyed for many lifetimes. They were survived by their two daughters, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren who were the pride and joy of their lives. Warren and Bobbie cherished every moment spent with them, creating cherished memories that will be treasured for generations to come. They were predeceased by their daughter Lisa O'Blennis.
An honorary ceremony will be held at Benicia City Hall on July 13th at 10am, followed with a memorial service celebrating Warren and Bobbie's life at 12:00pm at First Baptist Church, 1055 Southampton Road in Benicia. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Benicia/Tula Sister Cities Association, PO Box 2365, Benicia, CA 94510.
