Hess, Warren Harold Sr. “Hessy”, 86, formerly of Mount Union, passed away Sunday September 17, 2023, at Embassy at Woodland Park, Orbisonia. Born September 7, 1937, Huntingdon County, son of the late Samuel and Ruth (Latherow) Hess. Preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Mae (Varner) Hess; also preceded in death by son, Theodore “Teddy” Hess; and siblings. Survived by his children, Cathy Kershaw and husband, Charles; Warren Harold “Rusty” Hess Jr.; Shirley Glasgow and husband, Carl; and Barbara Hess and fiancé, Richard; 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. Warren attended the Assembly of God Church. He was passionate about working and owned his own trucking business, drove school buses, logged, and retired as a custodian at the Mount Union Area School District. Warren liked hunting and gardening. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family. Family and friends will be received on Thursday September 21, 2023, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon, at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Haven Rest Memorial Park. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
