Warren G Holmes

Warren G. Holmes, Jr., 77, passed away peacefully at Baystate Medical Center Hospice on November 13, 2023 after a brave battle with cancer and Parkinson's disease. Born to the late Warren G. Holmes, Sr and Alma R. (Dorrington) Holmes on June 21, 1946, he was a lifelong resident of Westfield, MA and a 1964 graduate of the Westfield Trade School, where he studied as an electrician. He enjoyed many hobbies over the years such as, CB radios, building remote radio-controlled airplanes, stained glass, woodworking, computer and other electronics. He was an avid sports fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins. Warren leaves his wife (His high school sweetheart) Mary Ann (Malinowski) Holmes of 53 years. Warren will be missed by his sister in law Jane Desorcy of Westfield, his nephew Gregg Desorcy of Southwick, his niece Paula Downs and her husband Steve of Agawam, Jonathan Downs of Enfield, CT and his fiancé Mia Squeglia, Skylar Downs and fiancée Drew Kerr of Kittyhawk, NC, Samantha Downs and friend Matt Naughton of Idaho Falls, Idaho. He will be sadly missed by his sister Susan and David Waterhouse of Lorain, Ohio, his niece Jennifer and Raphael Ramos of Wesley Chapel, FL, nephew Keith R. and Shirley Waterhouse of Yuma, AZ and several other nieces and nephews. An animal lover, Warren cherished the many years he spent with his furry friends-Deacon, Missy, Brandy, and our four "Goldens" Dusty, Beau, Cody and Woody. A Funeral Service for Warren will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 10:30AM in the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Southampton Rd. Westfield. A Visiting hour will precede the service in the funeral home from 9:30-10:30AM. www.firtionadams.com
