Vincent W. Hornbaker "Warren" passed away on April 26, 2025 in Stafford, Kansas. Born December 20, 1945 at Waseca, Minnesota, he was the son of Vincent and Esther Hornbaker. He was the oldest of 4 children.

Warren grew up on the family farm in Lewis, Kansas. He attended school in Lewis and graduated high school in 1963. He then attended and graduated from Emporia State University in 1968 with a degree in Education.

Warren taught Industrial Arts for 5 years at Haviland, Kansas before returning to his first love of farming in Lewis. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church, Lewis.

On July 9, 1977 Warren married Ramona Irene Spoon. Together they had 6 children: Lisa (Jon) Cantrell of Midland, TX, Vance (Schianne) Hornbaker of Lewis, Shelly (David) Berens of Stafford, Danny Hornbaker of Loveland, CO, Jennifer (Eric) Krug of El Dorado and Todd (Kim) Hornbaker of Mulvane.

Warren enjoyed farming, raising cattle, woodworking and leading the singing at church. He always enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids, especially Christmas where Warren always read the Christmas story from the Bible.

Warren is preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Esther Hornbaker, and his younger sister: Marcia. He is survived by his wife: Ramona of Stafford, brother: Norman Hornbaker of Keller, Texas, sister: Jeanette Matthews of Montgomery, Texas. Children: Lisa, Vance, Shelly, Danny, Jennifer and Todd. 13 grandchildren. 10 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 1 at the First Baptist Church, Lewis. Visitation will be Wednesday 1-7 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 3-5 p.m. at Minnis Chapel, Stafford. Burial will be at Wayne Cemetery, Lewis. Memorials may be given to the Gideon's International in care of the funeral home. Family floral arrangements are being provided by Absolutely Flowers, Hutchinson, Kansas.
