Warren "Denny" Schlessman

Warren L. "Denny" Schlessman, 76, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Reading Hospital. He was the loving husband of Sharon (Messner) Schlessman, with whom he shared 58 years if marriage.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Warren L. and Mary Jane (Gerhart) Schlessman. Better known as Denny to friends and family, he worked for Carpenter Technologies for 33 years until his retirement in 2002. For most of that time, he also co-owned and operated Schlessman and Son Auto Enterprise.
In addition to his wife, Sharon, he is survived by daughter, Jamie L. Schlessman (husband I. Neill Reid) of Freeland, MD; son, Jason L. Schlessman (Kelly Ruff) of Media; grandchildren: Catherine Reid, and Jett and Andalusia Schlessman; sisters, Shirley Camilli (Robert) and Sheila Weaver (Robert); sisters-in-law: Sandra Richard, Christine Cavanna (Richard), and Carole Buffington (Al); brother-in-law, John C. Messner (Maureen); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jackie Schlessman.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 12:00 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. 739 Penn Avenue West Reading, PA 19611. The family will receive friends and relatives from 11:00 am until the time of service.
