Warren O. Weilbaecher II

Warren O. Weilbaecher II died on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Morristown Medical Center. He was 88. Born and raised in New Orleans, LA to the late Clifford and Claire Weilbaecher, he resided in Rockaway for the last 59 years. Mr. Weilbaecher was a graduate of Jesuit High School in New Orleans LA, Class of 1951. He served in the Marine Corp as a Sergeant during peacetime. After serving his country, he went on to continue his education at Newark College of Engineering (now NJIT), graduating in 1960 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He worked as an Electrical Engineer at Picatinny Arsenal for 36 years, retiring in 1996. Mr. Weilbaecher was a parishioner of St. Clement Pope & Martyr Church in Rockaway Twp. His pastimes included stamp and coin collecting, playing chess and he was an avid reader. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Weilbaecher of 62 years, in 2018. He is survived by six children: Terri Roberts, Helen Weilbaecher, Steve (Mary) Weilbaecher, Carol Davis, Ed Weilbaecher and Ann Rosenberg; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven siblings; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Weilbaecher selflessly donated his body to Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. A memorial gathering will be held May 20, 2022 at 10:30am at St. Clement Pope & Martyr Church, 154 Mt. Pleasant Rd, Dover NJ 07801, a memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am with coffee and tea to follow at the church.
