Warren Zevon

I was an instant fan when I seen Warren setting in for Paul Shaffer on Late Night with David Letterman, I can’t say my favorite because they are all too close but I’m quite fond of Roland the headless Thompson Gunner. Fly high Mutaineer.

I DID send his son an email I believe it was before or soon after Warren passed as that's what I heard you could do. Not sure if anyone ever saw it. Anyways, Warren, I WILL always love your music. Hasten down the wind, my friend.

My dying husband loved Warren was his favorite artist. His memorial card will say I’ll sleep when I am Dead..

I grew up on Warren Zevon's music. So glad his music was introduced to me growing up his music will always be relevant. Although I throughly enjoyed all of his work Werewolves Of London was my all time favorite from him

Keep Me in Your Heart is a beautiful song that helped me to say goodbye to my father when I lost him suddenly (within three weeks) of his pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

Listening to Warren Zevon all these years later. Last live show I saw was Allentown '99. Miss the live shows (poor poor pitiful me) but like Roland, Warren was a warrior whose music still keeps up the fight. Respect.

I think its so sad about his passing. warren was a good singer and he will be forever missed.warren was one of my idols.im glad to be a fan of his.his music will live on.

Thank you for the musical talent you shared with us for the short time you walked on Mother Earth. May your new journey bring you harmony to write more songs. My heart goes out to Warren's family. I know the pain of losing someone you love too soon. Thank you Warren for gracing our life with your talent and determination. May the love you showed others live on.

I think that I'm not alone in saying that I am thankful he actually got to see that new James Bond movie (and that, for his sake, we wished it could have been a lot better). That said, this is indeed a great loss. He was a unique talent with no possible successor, a man who somehow managed to give California's music scene respect and exposure. Get some sleep, Warren. And rest in peace.

I grew up laughing at your sardonic tunes like 'Roland the Headless...' & 'Lawyers,Guns& Money', went through college singing along with 'Mohammed's Radio' & 'Envoy'.

Now my kids & I are keeping you in our Hearts for awhile!

Warren was an inspriation to many songwriters and was among those very few who could craft his talent in a way that would reach out and grab a listener. He will be missed dearly by anyone with an appreciate of 'meaningful music'. Our prayers are with his family.
