I was an instant fan when I seen Warren setting in for Paul Shaffer on Late Night with David Letterman, I can’t say my favorite because they are all too close but I’m quite fond of Roland the headless Thompson Gunner. Fly high Mutaineer.

I DID send his son an email I believe it was before or soon after Warren passed as that's what I heard you could do. Not sure if anyone ever saw it. Anyways, Warren, I WILL always love your music. Hasten down the wind, my friend.

I grew up on Warren Zevon's music. So glad his music was introduced to me growing up his music will always be relevant. Although I throughly enjoyed all of his work Werewolves Of London was my all time favorite from him

Keep Me in Your Heart is a beautiful song that helped me to say goodbye to my father when I lost him suddenly (within three weeks) of his pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

Listening to Warren Zevon all these years later. Last live show I saw was Allentown '99. Miss the live shows (poor poor pitiful me) but like Roland, Warren was a warrior whose music still keeps up the fight. Respect.

The eternal Thompson gunner, still wandering through the night

Now it's ten years later but he still keeps up the fight

In Ireland, in Lebanon, in Palestine and Berkeley

Patty Hearst heard the burst of Roland's Thompson gun

And bought it

Thank you for your gift of music and words of your life or what was running in your mind. I really felt you could really beat the odds but in a way you did. Being able to see your grandchild, doing one last album and anything else before your passing. May god be with your family and friends in this time of your passing to help them. God bless

Warren:

Thank you for the musical talent you shared with us for the short time you walked on Mother Earth. May your new journey bring you harmony to write more songs. Keep a watchful eye on your new grandchildren and jam out with John, George and Ricky as much as you can. Take along enough sandwiches for the Garden Parties.

Peace and Love To your family.

To the family of Warren Zevon, my heartfelt condolences-and to his precious grandchildren, may you grow up knowing the love he had for you. To the rest of Warren's fans, be grateful for the music he has created and that we will always have it to remind us of his remarkable talent and spirit. His spirit which I believe is how he would prefer we remember him. God Bless Warren Zevon.

I think that I'm not alone in saying that I am thankful he actually got to see that new James Bond movie (and that, for his sake, we wished it could have been a lot better). That said, this is indeed a great loss. He was a unique talent with no possible successor, a man who somehow managed to give California's music scene respect and exposure. Get some sleep, Warren. And rest in peace.

I grew up laughing at your sardonic tunes like 'Roland the Headless...' & 'Lawyers,Guns& Money', went through college singing along with 'Mohammed's Radio' & 'Envoy'.

Now my kids & I are keeping you in our Hearts for awhile!

SLEEP WELL & WE'LL SEE U IN DENVER SOME DAY!

Warren, with your help, I have created a family of fans for you by including such songs as "Gorilla your a Desperado" & "Werewolves of London" into my repertoire of Lullabies with my 5 kids.

My 3 oldest have even added new verses to "Gorilla"!!!

Your humor & wit has rubbed off on my kids!

You live 4-ever in our hearts!

G-d Bless you! Enjoy your sandwiches w/ the high & mighty!

Respectfully,

The Rosenzweig Family!

Warren was an inspriation to many songwriters and was among those very few who could craft his talent in a way that would reach out and grab a listener. He will be missed dearly by anyone with an appreciate of 'meaningful music'. Our prayers are with his family.

Growing up with the wonderful and humorous song of Warren thought us not to take life to seriously. You will be missed my friend. "See you in Denver".
