Waunell Sarah Jordan

Mrs. Waunell Sarah Tuten Jordan, 96, died Tuesday evening (October 7, 2014) at Baptist Village Retirement Communities after an extended illness. She was a native of Pierce County, but had lived most of her life in Ware County. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and helping family & friends. She was also a member of Sweat Memorial Baptist Church. She is the daughter of the late Chris Tuten and Addie JamesTuten. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Ralph Jordan; one daughter, Janie Milton; five siblings, Chris Tuten, Gene Tuten, Latrelle Moore, Randall Tuten and Eva Dixon. Survivors include one daughter, Susan Russell (husband Henry) of Waycross; one son, Johnny Milton of Waycross; four grandchildren, Jordan Russell (Brooke), Sloan Fountain (Cole), April Milton and Jay Milton; five great grandchildren, Savannah Gilbertson, Brooklyn Gilbertson, Grace Milton, Eli Russell and Cooper Fountain; three siblings, Fran Wood (Jimmy), Gerry Moody and Doris Stuckey; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning (October 9, 2014) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receiving friends Thursday morning at the funeral home from 10 until 11 o'clock. Music Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
