Waunita Carroll Obituary

Born July 3, 1945 in Las Animas, Colorado to Mary Ann and Joe Morgan, Nita went home to be with the Lord on November 1, 2021 in Pueblo, Colorado, after succumbing to her battle with leukemia.
Nita grew up farming and ranching which grew into a lifelong passion. She continued ranching throughout her adult life in Colorado, Utah, and Montana.
She loved every bit of tending to her flower and vegetable gardens along with canning. She cared deeply for her family and friends as well as her animals; especially her beloved cows! Nita will forever be remembered as a fabulous cook. She was very loved and will be sorely missed.
Proceeding her in death are parents, Mary Ann and Joe Morgan, brothers Clarence, Butch and Buster Morgan; sisters, Katherine Warren, Frances Hockett and Audrey Bauman.
Please join the family for a graveside service to be held at the Morgan Family Cemetery, 6201 County Road 442 La Veta, CO on Friday, November 12th at High Noon. Arrangements by Boies-Ortega Funeral Home.
